Janice B.

Siraj is passionate about strength training and powerlifting. He teaches correct form and knows just how hard to push. When I started strength training with him at the age of 55, I was unfit and overweight. I had never played a sport before, but he slowly transformed me into an athlete. Now at age 57, I’ve taken up powerlifting and can deadlift 215 pounds. Siraj has been my coach and cheerleader. He believes in me, pushes me, encourages me and celebrates my personal victories with me! I couldn’t have asked for a better trainer and coach than Siraj.

Nevin H.

My name is Nevin. I played football for most of my life, so by trade, I have also trained in the weight room for most of my life. Through years of training, patience, and consistency, I have naturally gotten stronger, particularly in the squat rack. Even though my numbers have dramatically increased over the years, I was plagued with nagging injuries that I could not seem to shake. Fast forward to November 2020, I was approached by Siraj in the weight room during one of my big squat sessions, where he noticed I had some knee pain during my lifts. Rather than trying to do a complete overhaul on my technique, we worked through some testing exercises to address the root of the problem. With time, we were able to fine-tune some technical flaws, and within a few weeks, I was pain-free and back to moving big weight. Fast forward 5 months, and I can happily say I am still pain-free while lifting. As a bonus, I competed in my first powerlifting competition in April. Thank you Siraj for all your coaching, encouragement, and constant dedication to your craft. I can't wait to compete again!

I’m 55 and came to powerlifting in just the past few years. Yes, some friends and family think I’m cray cray. No one is questioning the results. TruBorn Strong has helped me with weight loss (-23 lbs so far), flexibility (I literally started with being able to reach my hands behind my head to squat), and strength I would have thought unachievable. If you’re an older lifter like me, TruBorn Strong trainers help me to prehab, which is to proactively train to avert injury. The TruBorn Strong powerlifting team is a positive group where friendships have been formed and where we cheer each other’s accomplishments.

My name is Elaine. Working with Siraj has been such an amazing experience. He has a great skill of meeting you where you’re at, whether you’ve been working out for years or you’re picking up a barbell for the first time in your life. Not only is he a phenomenal trainer, but he’s an all around amazing, kind, and caring person who makes you feel valued and heard. I hadn’t worked out for a few years before training with Siraj, so I basically started at level zero. Since then, I’ve lost 25 pounds and competed in two powerlifting competitions where I’ve set new personal records for my squat, bench, and deadlift!
